
SSgt Alexa M. Hernandez
SSgt Alexa M. Hernandez attended the ‘25-’26 Advanced Military Photojournalism Program as a graduate student. A native of Miami, Florida, Hernandez began her military career on November 28, 2016. Hernandez’s previous assignments include 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California, (2017-2021), Recruiting Station Richmond, Virginia (2021-2022), 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (2022-2024), and II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (2024-2025). Her most memorable moments from her time at Syracuse University include networking with faculty, staff, and students, along with unexpected locals for projects, learning to ski for the first time, and exploring the city and its surrounding areas. Upon graduation, Hernandez will report to Marine Corps Installations Pacific in Okinawa, Japan, where she will leverage her technical expertise to drive operational readiness as the Training Chief, guiding junior Marines in developing strategic, narrative-driven content in support of MCIPAC's Indo-Pacific mission.
